Advisors can add an unlimited number of users to the system. Additional users pay less than main users, and we also offer competitive rates for large clients.

Yes, you can add your branding to the client portal and to all reports that you generate.

Data and Security

Our servers are located at the Xneelo Data Centre in Samrand, Midrand, and housed in a secure facility that can only be accessed by authorised personnel. The data centre has substantial backup electricity resources and multiple communication links.

We run a daily incremental backup, which is stored in the cloud as well as at a satellite office. We also make quarterly backups of all archived data, which are stored offsite. Data is retained for a minimum of 5 years. We run regular test recoveries to ensure that we can fully recover all data in the case of any unforeseen event.

We are ISO 27001 certified for information security – this is the global gold standard. We have several layers of access security and run regular database maintenance to ensure optimised responses. External consultants regularly check the security of our system and we have a fully secured process for maintaining our source code and documentation.

You own all your data. If you cancel your subscription, it will be made available on an SFTP site. Access information will be sent to you by e-mail when the data is ready to be downloaded. A minimum of three weeks is required before the exported information will be will be available.

As a subscriber, you can export most of your data at any time.

  • Client database and basic client information: This can be downloaded as an Excel spreadsheet. Go to Practice>Data Centre and deselect the last box, then follow the steps to export your database to Excel.
  • Queries: These can also be exported in Excel format. Go to Practice>D-Day Queries and select the bullet point, “Show all queries for this division”. Then select the paper icon at the bottom, “Export to Excel with details”.
  • Attachments, client files and e-mails uploaded as attachments: These are exported in the format in which they were uploaded.

Note that for the export of attachments and queries, a cost of R2 012.50 (incl VAT) is levied.

We cannot copy or export:

  • Policy schedules
  • Astute downloads
  • FNAs

As a user, you can download each customer’s Financial Needs Analysis (FNA) and Astute information in PDF format using a PDF converter (CutePDF Writer, for example) and then save it to your hard drive.

Our System

There is no limit on the number of attachments you can store. atWORK can accommodate individual attachments up to 20MB.

The newest version of our software has an incredible client portal, which will revolutionise the way you work. The way that advisors meet with clients has changed forever – the client portal has been built specifically to cater to remote working and video meetings.

In addition to a secure online vault where advisors and clients can store and access files and documentation, clients can view and download up-to-the-minute graphs and breakdowns of their investment portfolio. You can also schedule and conduct a video meeting on the platform and the recording will be automatically stored on the client’s profile.

Yes. Our financial calculators (Education, Lumpsum goal, Investment, and Retirement) are great for this purpose. Get in touch and schedule a demo if you’d like to see more.

Yes. You can easily send bulk or individual SMSes and emails from within our system.

atWORK takes POPIA seriously and we have implemented stringent measures to ensure that we are compliant as a business, including redrafting all of our documentation and appointing an internal team to ensure ongoing accountability.

  • Our support desk is available via phone, email and live website chat.
  • We strive to resolve all general queries within 60 minutes, and we have an FNA specialist available for personalised sessions if required
  • Clients are invited to attend weekly online training sessions (free of charge) covering Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Financial Needs Analysis (FNA), and Post Retirement Cashflow.
  • Training sessions are hosted by experts with decades of experience in financial planning. Both of our main trainers have been using atWORK for more than ten years.
  • Our team will set you up for success by guiding advisors during onboarding and aftersales. Our consultants host personalised sessions when engaging with new clients, to understand their business and how the office runs. From there, we make suggestions for workflows and query menus that clients can load for their practice. We help clients get maximum value out of the software from the get-go.

We have extensive experience with the Astute offering, and our support desk is equipped to help advisors understand the different types of products from all the service providers. Clients who subscribe to Astute are able to complete Astute downloads within atWORK, and push the data into a schedule or a Financial Needs Analysis (FNA).

Yes, atWORK integrates with more than 15 LISPs. Advisors are able to send consolidated statements to their clients.
